Maangere Mountain Education Centre has over 10 years' experience in delivering enquiry-led, out-of-classroom learning experiences to school groups. Our programmes are linked to the NZ curriculum and offer a wide range of learning opportunities.

School trips usually involve a guided walk over Maangere Mountain followed by a hands-on educational workshop at our Education Centre. Choose from popular classes such as Kite Making, Flax Work, Medicinal Gardens and more.

Topics covered may include Science, Geology, Social Studies, History and Maaori Culture. We find that children really enjoy the experience and learn a lot in their time with us. We can tailor your visit to support a particular learning topic that you wish to pursue.
